The building that houses Prague's National Technical Museum was built in the period between 1938 and 1941 after a design by Milan Babuska. The collection includes a vast amount of technical exhibits including industrial products, cars, motorcycles, aeroplanes and trains. Exhibiton includes a Tatra T77A, T87 and V12-engined T80.

The Technické Muzeum TATRA is the official Tatra Museum and has the largest collection of Tatra cars in the world and It. was originally opened in 1947 for the celebration of 50 years of automobiles from Kopřivnice. In 1967 the museum was moved to a new glass pavilion near Tatra headquarters. In 1997 the museum moved once more to a new building nearby. The glass pavilion was used for storage until 2004 when the building was demolished after the roof collapsed under heavy snow fall. Exhibits of the museum include all Tatra passenger cars from the first 1897 NW Präsident to the last Tatra T700 (1999), racing, sport and autocross vehicles, prototypes, trucks, an aeroplane, the 1936 high-speed train Slovak Missile, aerosled V855, chassis, engines and original NW horse-drawn carriages.
